If 2024 was a year of “preparing for AI adoption,” 2025 was the year when “AI began powering the physical world.”
As generative AI surged, adoption quickly moved beyond digital environments and into real industrial sites. With standout products and services, Superb AI is accelerating toward a future where AI transforms every industry.
From securing $10 million (KRW 14 billion) in pre-IPO funding to launching Korea’s first industry-tailored vision foundation model, ZERO, and earning recognition at CVPR—the world’s largest computer vision conference—here’s a look back at Superb AI’s key milestones and changes in 2025, alongside an infographic.
1. Growth: Breakout Growth Backed by Market Confidence
Despite global and domestic economic uncertainty, 2025 was the year Superb AI’s enterprise value was clearly validated. With an eye on a 2026 IPO, we secured both a stable financial foundation and strong momentum for rapid growth.
- 2x YoY Growth: In 2025, our order volume more than doubled from the previous year, expanding our real market share. This growth reflects proven demand in real industrial environments and shows that we have entered a trajectory of sustainable growth.
- Successful Pre-IPO Round: We secured $10 million (KRW 14 billion) in pre-IPO equity investment, bringing total funding to $43 million (KRW 63 billion). Even amid a tough investment climate, this validates the market’s strong confidence in Superb AI’s technology and business fundamentals.
- Selected as a KODIT “Innovation Icon”: Superb AI was chosen for the 14th cohort of the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund’s unicorn acceleration program, “Innovation Icon,” beating 29-to-1 competition. We will receive up to $14 million (KRW 20 billion) in credit guarantees over three years.
2. Technology: Changing the Paradigm of Industrial AI
Superb AI delivered technical breakthroughs that go beyond traditional AI development. With technology built for immediate real-world deployment, we are lowering the barrier to adopting vision AI in industrial environments.
- “ZERO,” an Industry-Tailored Foundation Model: We launched ZERO, a vision foundation model that requires no pre-training. Using only text or image prompts, it can instantly recognize new defect types or objects—reducing AI adoption timelines in industrial sites from months to days.
- Vision AI Agent, “Superb AI Video Analytics”: We launched an agentic solution that goes beyond passive CCTV monitoring—AI proactively understands situations and generates reports. It enables natural-language search for the exact scenes you need and detects anomalies in advance.
- Proven Global Technical Leadership:
- Runner-Up and 4th place at CVPR 2025: We ranked second and fourth across two challenges at CVPR, the world’s largest computer vision conference. Superb AI was the only Korean company among the top-ranked teams—competing head-to-head with leading AI players from China and other global powerhouses—demonstrating global competitiveness through an industry-tailored strategy without relying on costly, massive-scale infrastructure.
- AWS Generative AI Competency: We received official recognition for our capabilities in image similarity search and training-image generation—significantly improving customers’ productivity in AI development.
- National Certifications and Awards: We were named a Top 5 “AI Foundation Model” company by Korea’s Ministry of Science and ICT, won Japan’s AI Market AWARD 2025 in the image recognition category, and earned a Grade 1 GS certification for Superb Platform. We also completed patent registrations in Korea, the U.S., and Japan for “data-centric AI” and “no-code AI” technologies, bringing our global patent portfolio to 63. In addition, we were selected as the visual intelligence company within the Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy’s “K-Humanoid Alliance,” and recognized as an “Outstanding Super Gap Startup” at Seoul Startup Hub’s “2(To)gether” performance sharing event—further strengthening our technical leadership at home and abroad.
3. Impact: Finding Answers in the Field
In 2025, Superb AI’s technology took root across real-world industrial sites—from manufacturing and infrastructure to health care and sports—driving measurable change where it matters most.
- 🏭 CS WIND: Our AI was deployed in the manufacturing process of the world’s No. 1 wind tower producer, achieving 99.9% accuracy in material identification and leading digital transformation in heavy industries.
- ✈️ Incheon International Airport: Our AI analyzed video feeds from thousands of cameras in real time to measure crowd density and optimize passenger flow and security operations.
- ⚾ KT Wiz Park: We built Korea’s first AI smart stadium—analyzing crowd congestion in real time and creating a safer spectator environment.
- 🏥 Ajou University Dental Hospital: We helped drive clinical innovation by developing an AI model that diagnoses cavities using only smartphone-captured images—in just three weeks.
- 👕 Yakjin Trading & Pocheon Ildong Makgeolli: We reduced apparel inventory auditing time to the two-second range and automated makgeolli quality inspection with AI—maximizing efficiency across diverse industries.
2025 was the year Superb AI proved the potential of “physical AI.” In 2026, as a vision AI expert building the “eyes of industry,” we will lead the global AI market with even greater responsibility and innovation.
